In the “City of Paper” the museum offers the chance to retrace all the stages of the evolution of the manufacturing of paper, the first inventions of the “paper masters” from Fabriano and the productions of the modern artists of watermark.

Abbazia di Valdicastro – Fabriano (AN)
The abbeys, places of worship and work, centres of spirituality and depositories of an immense cultural heritage, were the core of every kind of economic, social and religious activity villages, hamlets, places (like the territory of Fabriano, in particular, is linked to the presence of S. Silvestro and S. Romualdo, the later as the founder of the Abbey in Valdicastro, in the valley situated to the east of Fabriano and whose name comes from Valle del Castello.

Museo «Piersanti» – Matelica (MC)
Placed in the 15th century Palazzo Piersanti, the museum bears the name of Venanzio Filippo Piersanti collections donated to the Cathedral in 1901.
Amongst the precious works of art that it contains, you can admire paintings by many artists (such as Bellini, Antonio from Fabriano, Francesco di Gentile from Fabriano, Salvator Rosa and Carlo Maratta), fine pieces of silverware and priceless pieces of furniture.

Parco Archeologico «Sentinum» – Sassoferrato (AN)
The area where the Roman city of Sentinum developed is rich in archaeological evidences covering a period of time that goes by I century B.C. to the III century A.D. Some sections of the city walls are still visible, but in particular are well-preserved the ancient streets, paved with large stones in white limestone and bounded by sidewalks. Nearby, in the village of Santa Lucia, has been excavated a large building, datable to the second century. A.D., interpreted as private villa or building to accommodate travelers. In the middle part there is a large courtyard with traces of mosaic floors and columns in the red marble of Verona and an imposing spa bulding.
